Author: i heard lemon juice works but it stings a lot and ive noticed that whenever i eat citrus fruits i break out by my mouth, so i dont think it would be a good idea to slather something acidic on my face. but i heard honey does well in treating scars though?

If you’re worried about stinging from topical application of lemon juice, you can actually just put a teaspoon or so in water and drink it. The acidity in lemons actually have a bleaching affect on the skin, reducing the redness from acne "scars" (red marks are actually hyper pigmentation). It won’t hurt your skin. It’s not like applying hydrochloric acid to your skin or anything. You can also dab via cotton ball diluted apple cider vinegar (equal parts water and vinegar) on the scars. This also works for shallow indented scars. If the equally diluted vinegar doesn’t seem to produce any results, you can add more vinegar than water and even dab it undiluted on your face via cotton ball.
