You can crush regular bayer asprin and make a paste with water and apply this to your face. Asprin, which is salicilic acid, is the active ingredient in most acne medications.

actually birth controll pills helped me. I LOVE Neutragena's black head scrub. you just wash your face with it twice a day. Also try not to wear face make-up for awhile. your face just might need a breather.

toothpaste just makes it worse no one should try that!

You should was you're face twice a day and NO more than that and NO less either.

Don't touch ur face with ur hands as this makes them worse.

Don't lean your face on any surfaces like tables this too makes it worse.

Tie ur hair back it stops grease from getting on the face and lets ur skin breath therfore reducing the spots.

Whatever u do do NOT try and cover ur spots up with make up (foundation) this makes them worse.

Don't pop/pick them because 1-it makes them worse and 2-you'll be left with permanant marks on ur face once they have gone.

I also use Zineryt for my spots which was subscribed to me by doctor and it works great!

i am the only one in my entire family of 6 who has not had acne, even BOTH my parents had it. i know when i first got pimples, i decided to WAGE WAR, and guess wot, i won!
here's how i did it. i noticed that everytime i ate chocolates, i got a pimple, it took me years to conclude a simple truth, that chocolates somehow had SOMETHING to do with my pimples so i gave it up, being a Christian i also prayed about my cravings for chocolate and in the end i gave it up completely (its about 17 years ago now! still going strong without chocolate – even though i've been branded as the weirdest eva female for not eating chocolate!!) dont worry, i've got post-graduate qualifications and there's nothing wrong with my brains.
what i did back when i was a teenager was having to make do with attacking my pimples by popping them. this is a huge NO NO. why? these leave permanent markings.
What you need to do is eat fresh fruit and veggies and drink loads of water to clean not only the outside, but also the inside. using something like oxy is pretty much like taking painkillers for an appendicitis!! the problem won't go away, u just won't feel the pain when it bursts and kills you!
ok, so pimples arent lethal, but they can kill the self-esteem. now, if you dont by now think i'm a mental case, read on, very carefully, because the truth is what you will see.
I didnt have loads of money to buy stuff with, so i read up on home remedies and asked my mum who had had acne when she was a teen. you need to start a cleansing routine which you need to stick to quite well. rinse and wash with a ph balanced face wash, dab on some astringent and use some anti acne cream (go this route if your acne is really bad) you also need to apply a face mask once a week and scrub your skin once a week too. do this in the evenings after your cleansing routine. now you dont need to spend a fortune on these things, you simply need to look in the kitchen cupboard and you'd be amazed at what it yields. a home made mask which worked like u wont believe is egg white and lemon juice (only a tiny bit of lemon juice as it can dry and irritate if overused, also, it can lighten the skin fractionally so we dont want to go the michael jackson route cause it can damage the skin if you use more than a teaspoon at a stretch, its very potent) beat the egg in a bowel, add the lemon juice, apply to the face (avoiding eyes and mouth) apply to the neck (not at the back) wait till dry then wash with face wash. a light oil free moisturiser wont hurt at this stage. you can MAKE your own facial products with home products. the scrub is so amazing i used to stand and run my finger over my skin afterwards, it felt so good. you use an old softish toothbrush and oats (dry porridge oats – plain) mixed with water to form a moist mixture, scrub GENTLY onto skin all over face and neck, then rinse after at least several minutes of having scrubbed. skin will be slightly pink and you should ensure u've scrubbed gently and slowly yet all over that area. rinse with water. no need for moisturiser if your skin is continuously oily, this scrub is almost magical, the moisture u naturally have will be slowed down to work in your favour. (also, b4 i forget, take heart in having an oily complexion, it generally means your skin is likely to age less quickly than a dry skin would, less wrinkles, unless of course you smoke or frown a lot!)
i sometimes never even used a face wash, i simply used dettol soap and made my own astringent from rose water and witch hazel, which you can get at your chemist. check online to see how you can make your own products, amazingly, at your local library you could find books that people used many years ago to make their own home products. i can't pinpoint what exactly i did right, but i do know that mixed with a determination to avoid the pimple plague, all of the above was my modus operandi for winning my battle. go well,
signed – Joan of Pimpleans! ps, forgot to add, stay FAR away from foundation, no matter how much they say its light and grease free, it ISNT, also if you're sporty the best sports to do is swimming (if i get any odd spots, the chlorine in the water which is designed to tackle germs, works like a charm) also, my best friend had ACNE to top all other acne's, she ate bagfuls of nuts, she had a super body, but oh, the nuts, it drove her nuts what it did to her face, they're so greasy, and wots worse, you can't see the grease in nuts, nor chocolates, beware of these foodstuffs. one last thing, sorry, is the beaty of apricots. i read an article as a teen that apricots were used by apricot pickers somewhere in some or other poor part of the world where ppl couldnt afford beauty products, and hardly any of these farm labourers got pimples. they apparently swore by it to remove marks and keep pimples out. so, a mashed apricot on the skin is another idea and if any day you overdo things, lie on your bed with cucumber slices all over your face to help cool the skin. be gentle with it, and your looks will treat you gently too, ultimately, do things that make you happy and does not destress, swimming helps relax a person (ok it makes me very tired sleepy and hungry, but for a highly strung person like me, its so relaxing) its very important to relax so that your hormones dont take you on the rampage! bye now, i'll shut up and go get some sleep!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:
