are there any GOOD home remedies for acne?

Posted by admin on February 4th, 2010 and filed under acne home remedies |

i’ve basically tried clean & clear, and Proactive. i am not willing to buy another product of those whats so ever. i DO NOT have severe acne i just have a fe pimples here and there but definetly not severe acne. what i use daily or a few times a week is the WAVE the one where Vanessa Hudgens is in the commercial. does anyone know any GOOD home remedies that ACTUALLY work using stuff that i prob do have in my house?

honey. honey is SO good for your skin. just put some warm honey all over your face, and wash it off after, like, 10 minutes? if you go to youtube, and search bubzbeauty’s site, you get some facials you can do with stuff like tea, honey, etc.

i’ve heard lemon juice can work or rubbing garlic a few times a day can work too. but i use a drying mask and when i was the mask off the zits/acne are either gone or about half the size.

    Well my advice:
For nice clear skin:Get some yarrow capsules, put one in some warm water, splash your face with it,pat dry with a wash-clothe.Or as a cleanser if you have dry skin try milk it has lactic acid (found in alot of really expensive creams!).Then for toner use lemon it balances the ph in your skin,Apply with cotton ball. Then use 100% pure aloe vera gel (get this stuff at local heath food store or drugstore).Hope I helped!,God bless!. :) Garlic is good for pimples to (not good for sensitive skin) just leave it on for like 5 mins (mash it up first). Also have a good diet, eat lots of fruits and veggies(I’m a vegetarian).Drink water too, half your body weight (if you weigh 100 lbs drink 50 oz a day).Taking MSM (100-1,000 mg) daily can help acne.Honey is a good mask for acne, leave it on for 10 minutes.

    Hope I helped :)

Try baking soda and warm water. It’s like a paste for acne. It helped me out very well. I also heard toothpaste helps, too. I am not very fond of it, though.

Tooth Paste! It has some ingredients in it that will dry and take out redness! after school if your just staying home put some tooth paste on it a good amount of it and put a band aid on it. Keep it on overnight and when you wake up get a wash rag wet it with warm water and SCRUB!! The zits will just scrub off then get Netrogena lotion and rub on to get out redness. Also its OK to pop zits..theres a trick to it though…on every zit there should be a white tip its pus! Its the infection in your zit. Pick the white ONLY off. And put the cream on.Wollah gone in about 8 hours. Remember wash yor face daily too. When your home from school pull your hair up in a pony tail and clip any extra hairs up to keep them away from your face. Hope I helped!! I agree with the toothpaste answer. Try putting the paste directly on acne, leave overnight and gently wash off in the morning.

You can also try applying egg whites. Simply separate an egg and using a clean finger or Q-tip, dip only in the clear part of the egg (not the yellow yolk) then apply directly to pimples. Leave overnight and gently wash off in the morning.

Another odd, yet effective treatment is to use Head and Shoulders shampoo. It seems that Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment (the one with Selenium Sulfide, not Zinc) is a very effective treatment for acne. Simply put some shampoo in your hand, add a little water , lather it up a bit and apply to face. This is also supposed to be very effective regarding body acne as well. Simply use as a body wash in the shower.

    Hope this helps
