What are some good home remedies for acne?

Posted by admin on September 13th, 2009 and filed under acne home remedies | 11 Comments »

I have mild/moderate acne all over my face and I want to know some good home remedies to clear my face up. When I say home remedies, i mean no expensive store bought things like proactive or anything because I don’t currently have the money for it. I jsut want some simple ways to clear my face up for school
that’s funny that toothpaste is actually a good way to clear some up, because I used to do that when I first started getting them every once and a while

Many people are now looking towards natural home remedies for acne, instead of off-the-shelf products to get rid of their acne problems. This is understandable since it is both convenient and economical to do so at home. Before we go straight into any home remedy for acne, let’s take a look at some of the simple things to do to complement our acne home remedies.

Proper vitamin supplement intakes, lots of water and regular exercise will help to detoxify our bodies, and improve our skin condition. This will work hand in hand with the following cheap but effective home remedies for acne:

1. Did you know that your toothpaste can help to reduce the swelling of your pimples? Apply some before you sleep and you will see the immediate effect the next morning.

2. Mix lemon juice with rose water. One lemon with same proportion of rose water will do. Apply it on your face and rinse it only after 30 mins. Constantly doing so will not only get rid of acne and pimples, but it also has the effect of lightening the skin blemishes.

3. Use fresh mint juice to apply on your face.

4. Strawberry leaves can also help to reduce the pimple swelling.

5. Orange peel can also be used. Basically, you need to mash it or blend it, mix with some water to form a paste before applying on your problem area.

6. Mix turmeric powder with some mint juice before applying on the acne. Wash it off with clean, lukewarm water after about 30 mins.

7. Even cooking condiments such as vinegar and salt have their uses as home remedies for acne. Mix the two together, before rubbing the mix over the pimples. Leave it there for some 10 to 20 mins before removing with lukewarm water.

8. Make a paste with cucumber before using it as a facial mask. Leave the mask on for 30 mins daily. Doing this will prevent acne from breaking out.

9. If you can tolerate the smell of garlic on your face, then go ahead to apply some fresh garlic on the pimples. They will disappear after repeated applications.

10. Even the milk that you drink is useful as a home remedy for acne. Blend nutmeg with milk and you have a powerful paste to zap those pimples away.

While these have worked for many folks who tried them, it does not guarantee it will work for some people.

Any Acne Home Remedies that work?

Posted by admin on September 12th, 2009 and filed under acne home remedies | 4 Comments »

Is there any acne home remedies that will get rid of acne for good overnight? If not overnight, one that actually works? Thanks a bunch.
Has anyone actually tried any, and have any experience with one home remedy?

Ensure your skin is clean.
Squeeze 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into a small bowl. Use a cotton ball to soak up some juice. Dilute it with water if it burns.
Dab the juice onto your pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples.
Leave on over night and rinse in the morning. Apply it again (under your makeup if you’re female).
If you find the lemon juice too strong too leave on, even diluted with water, wash it off after 10 minutes in cold water.

HOPE THIS HELPS MAN :D

What worked to cure your acne? Preferably home remedies?

I have heard that toothpaste and tomatoes can help with acne. What products or home remedies have you used that cleared up your acne? I know that everyone’s skin is different, so what worked for you might not work for me, but it never hurts to try.
I actually have tried the asprin thing. It made my skin smooth but didn’t seem to do much for my acne.

aspirin thing usually eats off skin faster than it dies, helps,. acne is a bacteria, bacteria like warm moist things. try using a new towel and face cloth every shower. maybe change your bed Linen and shower before bed instead of in the morning. keep up on pillow case changes a lot of people sweat and or drool in there sleep making a pillow a good host for the bacteria. if you share your towels with a family keep a few out so each will get a chance to fully dry before someone else uses it again. acne is not a thing indicating dirt, acne will not survive in dirt, it likes only nice clean humans. if you are always washing you could be killing off the natural germs that normally kill the acne or washing off important chemicals your body might be making to fight them. some people are just very tasty to them unfortunately and sometimes a doctor will prescribe tetracycline to help kill them off.
if aspirin (which is acidic) did not control them then maybe something alkali will (alkali is opposite of acid like baking soda), be careful too much alkali can be just like too much acid to your skin and burn you, (drano is alkali and it will eat you).

at home acne remedies?

can ppl give me some good at home acne remedies/treatments?

does eth aspirin mask work?
how about drinking lemon juice?
and a garlic mask thing, does that work?

THIS WORKS FAST & CHEAP!!!
I used Tetracyclin, Proactive, Retina A and had many expensive facials with less than good results.
This has worked for me and many many other happy people.

Go to pharm.,Drug store, or Walmart, buy "PURPOSE" bar of soap - Blue box - Made by Johnson & Johnson - wash your face with this
2-3x’s per day. Also pick up a LOW strength Benzoyl-peroxide cream, apply the cream by dabbing
to the individual blemishes…. DONT rub it in works using a oxidation/reduction reaction..It will unclog
dry it out and bring it to a head…DONT over use this or put anywhere else on your face. It will cause drying and make you look worse.

Salicylates such as found in regular asprin among other products work very similar but also remove layers of skin…
other over the counter creams with this product will dry out pimples but maybe too hash and cause surrounding skin trauma..
I have seen many people recommending crushing asprin and making a paste which probably will dry out the blemish but again
pretty strong and probably will cause more tissue damage and bigger scars as an anti inflammatory
probably would take the reddness out… again pretty harsh for sensative skin.

Also, If need which probably will for moisture ASK FOR "NUTRADERM lotion" - the orginal not the new stuff, this works
great and wont clog pores or leave a residue on your skin…Any lotion that is completely oil free and hypoallergic should
work but again I recommend Nutraderm. I have heard from people online that "Purpose" also makes a lotion that is good, Nutragena, and Nivea
make good products also. I recommend Nutraderm from experience and my dematologist.

"Purpose Bar" & "Nutraderm" are oil free and hypoallergic they contain no perfumes and are great for both men and women.
I have also heard great reports of this soap helping improve skin tone. Some people recommend the "Purpose luqid soap" saying
that the bar did dry out their skin some. The rational behind using the bar is that there are no ingredients in it that will clog pores, and
according to dermatologists they recommend the Bar. I have also heard good responses from "cetaphil soap". These products are safe for all skin colors and tones. I highly discourage use
of Proactive and other harsh chemicals for people with some natural color in their face due to the bleaching and drying effect it has
shown in many many people.

Additonal TIPS: acne, pimples, etc are frequently cause by a bacteria or hormone issues that cause clogging of pores.
DONT PICK POP POKE (your hands are the dirtiest part of your body) and will cause: infections, spreading of germs, more breakouts and scarring
DONT EVER listen to people online who tell you to scrub your sensative skin or use harsh chemicals
such as: Lemon juice, vinagar, alcohol, etc… DONT EVER use that APRICOT CRAP!!! DONT USE
PROACTIVE- this is expensive and harsh it may kill the bacteria cause also Benzoyl based wash but
will irritate skin and cause bleaching of face and neck…. Other similar treatments may work.. also
things such as Accutane but have SERIOUS side effects such as Major Depression, & birth defects in unborn children, among others
If you wear make up make sure it is oil free, & hypoallergic…Eating healthy…Drinking plenty of water.. changing pillow cases freq.
etc …avoiding dirty sports equp. such as helmets…can not hurt…Acne/pimples again are caused by pores/hair follicles becoming plugged
up, this plugging then causes an inflammatory reaction - reddness and infection (pimple)..black head is dirt trapped in pore, while a white
head is the same thing you just dont see the dirt instead you see white pus (lymphocytes that accumulate in the area to fight the infection)
It has been shown in many studies this most often not caused by what you eat (chocolate etc… or how clean you are) but most often by either excess oils plugging pores or a bacteria
on the skins surface. - Proactive works in some people because it is a strong Benzoyl peroxide based washed but is most freq. to strong
for people with sensative skin - this is why alot of people get excessive drying and flaking, rashes, bleaching or breakouts from the product.
Retina-A does decrease the bacterial growth on your face but also removes dead/living skin, this can work well in some individuals and
has been shown to reduce wrinkles and scars but again I feel this is pretty harsh on sensative skin prone to breakouts. If you choose
Retina-A never use this product during the day only at night due to the sensativity it will give you to the sun. You must also get a perscription
for this product and I really don’t believe it is worth the damage it does to your skin. In some rare cases for very deep/large boils and cyst types
of pimples oral antibiotics maybe needed but I would first recommend trying "purpose" and a low dose "benzoyl-peroxide cream" along with a good
oil free moisturizer "Nutraderm… etc" this does work well.

THIS WORKS FAST AND CHEAP!!! I no longer get expensive facials, take oral antibiotics, or even NEED makeup… I am very happy - Have
very good skin… and have many many other happy friends… THANKS again to my WONDERFUL
DERMATOLOGIST… TRY THIS!! GOOD LUCK…. PS. "PURPOSE" costs about $3 ———————————————

Acne home remedies that anyone has actually tried and it worked? I have bad acne.?

Posted by admin on September 2nd, 2009 and filed under acne home remedies | 6 Comments »

I am not cheap or lazy… I am not in the best financial situation right now. I can’t afford acne products others usually can… I have tried soap(antibacterial) and it made my face much worse.. I also tried toothpaste(works with one or two pimples, not the entire face), as well as rubbing alchohol(it works okay). I’ve tried honey, but it’s not had much affect.

Clean your face every morning with cotton ball soaked with apple cider vinegar, might sting a little but very effective, try if you don’t have a sensitive skin. Try on a small part first. Check out http://usefulinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more tips
