Thank you to everyone so far!
Vinegar, Lemon Juice and Aloe. Each of these may be used with positive results on acne. The vinegar and lemon juice work to clean your pours. The aloe works to heal skin damage. Studies have shown that treating the sores with aloe will reduce scars and speed healing.
What acne home remedies ACTUALLY WORK?
Have you tried a cotton ball moistened with alcohol? That works pretty well for some folks.
I have before tried the vinegar route. I burned my face pretty badly; at that point I realized that the use of vinegar wasn't for me.
You can make a paste using baking soda and a little bit of water to use as a scrub on your face. That will help because it helps to clear blocked pores.
Any natural home remedies to help with acne problems?
Does anybody know any natural home remedies to help acne? I'm 22 well out of puberty and i still break out pretty bad.
Here's a quick home remedy for you:
** Wash your face and rinse thoroughly. Squeeze a fresh lemon
into a small bowl and put the juice on a cotton ball. Apply
a cotton ball to face. Repeat soaking of a cotton ball in
lemon juice as needed. Let the lemon juice dry on your face
for about 10 minutes then rinse with cool water. The lemon
juice should make your face sting or mildly burn. If you
have sensitive skin, you may wish to dilute juice with
water. Follow this procedure one to two times per day and
you will notice amazing results within 14 days.**
And here are a few extra tips to help control your acne.
1) Washing with very hot water, harsh soaps or cleansers will
not improve existing acne or prevent future flare-ups they
will only irritate them.
2) Thorough cleansing is the first and most important step in
any skin care program. Deep cleansing is recommended twice
a day, in the morning and at night. This assures removal of
surface impurities, rests of makeup and excessive oiliness.
3) Ideal cleansing is completed by application of a toner or
refreshing lotion. This kind of product prepares the skin
for the use of moisturizers and lubricants.
4) The last basic step is to apply a good moisturizer, which
will keep your skin soft, and protect it from the
aggressive environmental assaults that it's exposed every
day.
5) Be sure to clean your face thoroughly before going to bed
at night and apply a good night time moisturizer.
