Are there any home remedies to keep acne AWAY?

Author: i know it sounds silly,
but some people say that putting eggs or mayonaise on your hair can make your hair soft and shiny etc
so i was just wondering if there are any home remedies that can help clearing acne?
please NO stupid suggestions!!
